03:35 pm - First time for everything... Last night I was chased out of my parent's neighborhood by no less then 20 drunken and extremely violent mexican people with weapons, who bludgeoned me, threw rocks and other objects at me, and beat the shit out of my car. Initially I was trying to help my sister and her boyfriend get away from them and I then tried to get them away from my parent's and their car which they were also throwing things at and attempting to assault. Once it became apparent that there was no way I could make it back to my parents house I drove as fast as I could to Sunny's Mom's house. After spending two hours with the county sheriff the bottom line was that there was nothing the police could or would do and they could in no way guarantee my safety or my family's safety. I was advised not bring my car back into the neighborhood as it would be promptly 'torched'. Everyone made it out of the situation okay, save for my sister's boyfriend being hit across the head with a 2x4 and loosing part of a tooth after having been punched in the face, and the wound to my arm from being attacked with a wooden pole. Current Mood: sore, and so very pissed

02:13 pm I have decided the people in my immediate family are genetic pioneers of a race of nocturnal humans. Not that there's anything wrong with it, but they do everything at night. It can be annoying sometimes, but at times quite cool. Also, the mustang project can now be considered underway. So far I have purchased a (hopefully working) transmission, cleaned out enough garage space to work with, procured an engine stand and engine hoist, and established alternate means of transportation (via the Mazda RX-7 I bought two weeks ago). So I'm all ready to start. Hopefully I'll be pulling the engine out this weekend, and if not, then next weekend. My apartment is a mess because we're getting our very own personal water heater. It's awesome because not only does the apartment management not have to pay for central boilers anymore, but we must now pay the $415/yr operating cost of the heater. Oh, and we'll be loosing a bit of square-footage too. So needless to say, I'm pretty pissed. Current Mood: anxious

03:11 pm - Post Birthday Post So my birthday yesterday consisted of, 3 hours of work, an eighty-dollar dinner (thank you sweetheart), about an hour and a half of driving, being bummed for a while, getting heinously blitzed (which cheered me right up), and getting in a car accident (everyone's okay, but unfortunately the car is very much not). All in all, I'll never forget it, and I'm gonna be taking things really slow today. Thanks everyone for all the gifts! Current Mood: hungover Current Music: a faint ringing sound

01:01 pm I hate it when this happens: My boss tells me we need a completely new website/webserver for this new grant program we're going to administer. So I put a bunch of time into a really cool-looking and very functional design only to be told that we're not going to use it, and that instead I'm to translate a crappy looking mock-up that one of my bosses made in InDesign into the new website. Not that my job sucks, because it very much does not, but this kinda crap is pretty frustrating. On a lighter note (kinda), I'm already in Lost withdrawal, like Charlie and his heroin. The season finale was quite good and I guess the House finale was pretty good too. I need something to waste time watching now... any suggestions? So far we've got season two of Battlestar Galactica (like I should need anything else), and that dancing competition from the American Idol people. 03:57 pm So I can write php now, and that's pretty baddass. Again I'm on the bleeding edge! Well, only partially I guess as I have yet to master CSS. I also setup MySQL and MyAdmin and I feel really stupid for not having done so much much earlier. The setup was such a cakewalk that I could have done it a year ago. Anyway, I'm really extremely tired and I'm not sure why. I usually don't get any more sleep than I have been getting lately and my schedule hasn't changed much, nor have I been any more active than I usually am. I'm just beat, and it's been this way for like two weeks now. I think there might be something wrong with me. Hopefully I can see a doctor, but maybe not 'cause I have no insurance and my parents' isn't supposed to cover me now. Also, I'm gonna be 21 in less than two months so I need to figure out something stupid, immature, and recklessly irresponsible to do on my b-day. Any suggestions? Current Mood: exhausted
